All sculpture courses are taught by Amy Hauber, Assistant Professor.
The sculpture/extended media facilities are housed in a generous work area and include the following tools:
WOOD:
Delta standing planer and jointer
Jet band saw
Delta belt and disc sander
Powermatic Table saw
12 wood working benches and vises
Swiss made chisels
Drill press
METAL
two MIG welders
two oxy-acetalene welding setups with splitters
jump shear
slip roll
finger break
mounted metal punch
Miller plasma cutter
Centaur forge (small)
Foundry at nearby SUNY Potsdam occasionally is available for use
CERAMIC
ceramic clay equipment and facilities
DIGITAL MEDIA (digital video, print and sound)
not housed in the sculpture area, but just down the hall at the NCAT
SOFT MATERIALS
Industrial sewing machines are available for use, by permission and appointment.
