HELP MAKE WISHES COME TRUE

St. Lawrence University’s Center for Civic Engagement hosts the 3rd annual Shawna’s Walk for Wishes on Saturday, October 6th, 2012. The walk will take place at the Outdoor Track on SLU campus.  All proceeds from this event will be donated to Make-A-Wish® of Central New York to grant wishes of St. Lawrence County children who are diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. With the support from local businesses and the community, the “Shawna’s Wishes” group has raised over $20,000 to date. Shawna is excited again to “give back” after she was granted a wish to visit Walt Disney World® in 2008. The CCE, Shawna and her family hope to raise $10,000 this year, and we need help again in meeting this goal. There will be Children’s Activities at the Event, so bring the whole family!
