The St. Lawrence Review Wants YOUR Work!

Hey, everyone! Hopefully you’re enjoying the break. If you’re like me, you’ve been attempting to be productive, maybe even planning a bit for the work ahead of you…I’ve personally accomplished almost nothing, but at least the intentions are there.

Anyway, speaking of planning ahead, I’m sure a lot of you have final papers that you’re beginning to think about/start now, because you know that the process takes time – coming up with your research question, finding sources, narrowing your topic, conducting in-depth research, writing your annotated bibliography, devising your thesis and writing your first draft, and then producing your final, revised draft…it’s a lot! Don’t you think it deserves some recognition outside of the classroom? Well, you’re in luck – St. Lawrence thinks so, too!

For those of you who don’t know, The St. Lawrence Review is our campus’s peer-reviewed literary magazine that publishes student work. Unlike The Laurentian Magazine, the publication for creative work, The St. Lawrence Review accepts critical analyses of literature and film. Students can submit multiple works, even ones written during past semesters! It’s such a great opportunity to publish your hard work, and to share your writing and findings with the St. Lawrence community.

The deadline for submission is Friday, December 20th, which is the last day of the semester, so no excuses for not submitting! To submit a piece (or pieces), attach your work to an email and send it to me, Hannah Dziezanowski, at

So, while you’re spending all that time pouring your heart and soul into your research paper(s), remember, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel – you could get published! Think resumes, people!

If you have any questions or you’d like more information about our selection process, please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email.

Now go get writing or revising, because I’m looking forward to reading your work! Good luck!

Hannah Dz…etc.
