Saint Lawrence University launches its new program in France in Bordeaux for the Spring 2018: The France program is a two-tracks model to attract beginners and more advanced students. It is open to all students on campus who would like to become more fluent in French.

We value the involvement of our students abroad and want them to reflect more deeply on their experience in a foreign language while understanding the relationships that exists between France and the rest of the Francophone world. Globalization has impacted our ways of thinking and learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary, it is also about understanding how cultures work. And those cultures are surely very different from Quebec to the Caribbean, from France to the Maghreb or to Western Africa.
