Here is a article that I found on how globalization through adoption of “western” fast food industry impacts developing countries. When observing just on the surface it appears simply as “copy” or emulation of western food and not harming the local food system. However, when critically examined, it changes the local food sources where now it is increasingly from abroad when in the past it used to be from within the country. Anyway, this article released by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) talks more about it. ftp://ftp.fao.org/docrep/fao/007/y5736e/y5736e00.pdf
