Why are they (men) confident in their actions?
Possible answer: The law allows men to discipline women who are not dressed religiously (in a way stated in the Sharia). Any man can therefore get away with hitting any women who is dressed in a ‘western’ style.
Where are the police?
Possible Answer: The police are probably on the same side as the mob
Any advice to Egyptian women?
Maybe move out of the country? East Africa is very liberal; there are no religious extremists who are eager to kill you every time you wear jeans.
