Simply put, he makes the case that the availability of books for sale over the Internet dramatically increases the scope of reading. Agree or not, the article is elegantly written with plenty of examples (allusions) to books, and given the occasional either/or tone of the discussion of reading books vs. reading online here, a useful counterpoint.
