FODYLL, Anew in the Academic Year 2012
Ah, as students return to the greenswalds of campus FODYLL can, itself anew, begin another year. The Bulletin will be out soon, with reflections on librarians who had significant hands in building the collections that are the SLU Libraries. With that in mind, Atlantic Magazine’s online version is a great piece for essays on books and reading. Here is a very recent list of recommendations, aimed at the glorious summer, but perhaps also apropos of thoughtful autumn. While I didn’t double check I believe all of these titles are in ODY, and the lead title Information: A History A Theory A Flood by James Gliek is one I have read and can second any recommendation.
