Everybody must get stoned- in diamonds

In thinking more into my case-study research paper, I wanted to address the commodification of diamonds and the way diamonds fit into our culture. I found this advertisement and several other very telling ads that I will use it to analyze in my case-study. Several of them speak to gender roles and how those are highlighted once engagement occurs. Others speak more to the diamond as a necessary and precious commodity, worth splurging for.

Here are a few examples of advertisements which I can use as cultural texts to further my evaluation.
