Campus employment is a great way to make money at SLU. I’m doubly fortunate in that my job in the Noble Center gives me a chance to make money and enjoy all the musical acts which come to SLU each year. The Wednesday before break we had SLU Funk. I missed out on hearing them all last year and it was great to finally hear their sound. The Funk band is a great addition to the music ensembles on campus. They were pretty fun to work with and they engaged with the audience which livened the show up. Anyone with an appreciation of music should go to their final show of the year at Java. I forget the date but its either the first or eighth of December. Show up on both dates because with finals around the corner honestly how much time do you have left to enjoy life.
