Well in less than a week the world will see Kiera Knightly potray Anna Karenina in Joe Wright’s adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s classic romance novel. From the trailer’s I’ve seen thus far I’m decidedly nervous of the film. The trailers focus on the Anna Vronsky relationship with little focus given to the development of Levin’s character. The film has been getting decent reviews so far which gives me hope that it hasn’t botched the story. On a more positive note the film’s trailer appears to have a fantastic art direction and true to Russian literature plenty of dancing and high society gossip. I plan on seeing the film and recommend it to everyone, at the least you can always rag on how bad it adapted the story.
